Volume 1 is made up of the first batch of songs Steve wrote with Justin as they scrambled the wreckage of their lives back together after the fall of their band Philoceraptor. They bothered to do so because Gun Control is a good band name. Very rare. They didn't really feel complete until Matt magically appeared from the internet ether to play
bass. Matt's the best.

Volume 1 has been finished for over a year, but Steve broke the hell out of his elbow while playing squash against Justin. It seemed stupid to release a record that couldn't actually be played at the time. Steve's fine by the way.

Gun Control now has a backlog of songs. They hunger to run wild and free on the internet. Like gazelles. Binary gazelles. A CSS stampede. First Volume 1 must scout the terrain. Got to make sure there's enough runway to get to Mars. Yup – Mars.

We have set the album price at $5 because we can't imagine a world where we get enough streams to possibly generate enough revenue to help us make more music. If you can't afford $5, these songs will be available to stream.
